During his life time, Joaquin Rodrigo wrote over 200 works for Orchestra, chor, piano, violine, violincello, guitar, flute, etc. in varied forms such as Concerto and solo. Although Valencian composer’s contribution has been limited with his famous „Concierto de Aranjuez“ for the big concert halls, his works have taken it’s well deserved place in competitions and concervatoriums. Compared to his contemporaries, virtuos pianist Rodrigo’s works has a very wide range. Despite of Rodrigo not been able play the guitar, he had proven himself as one the best interpreter of guitar‘s culture and language among 20th century composers. In this following article I will analyse effects of Rodrigo’s open minded productivity on his guitar concerto called: „Concierto para una Fiesta“.
